During the Christmas time the mansions at Newport are filled with thousands of poinsettias, fresh flowers, evergreens and wreaths. Thirty decorated Christmas trees will reflect the magnificent decor in many of the rooms. Dining tables set with period silver and china complete the elegant setting. Windows of each mansion are lit with individual white candles, in keeping with the colonial tradition.

The mansions themselves are already a feast for the eyes and the Christmas decorations add even more dazzle to it! The drive to Newport from Boston is only 2 hours. It's definitely worth the effort! With $30 you can get admission for all the mansions that are open in Wwinter, which is a really good deal.
