Veterans Day (originally known as Armistice Day) is a federal holiday in the United States observed annually on November 11, for honoring military veterans and one of the best ways to experience this holiday in Boston is the Veterans Day Parade. The parade starts at Boylston and Charles Streets, marching up Boylston to Tremont. The parade turns left on Tremont and marches straight until it enters City Hall Plaza where it ends.
We recommend to view the parade in locations close to the Boston Common, which is close to Park Street T station at green line, so that you could get a beautiful fall foliage view of the Boston Common park as well.
Right Behind the official parade there is the Veterans for Peace Parade. This parade aims at reminding people of the original meaning of this day (Armistice Day) is to honor peace.
